LOWEST COMMON MULTIPLE OR LCM

We start today’s class with a video. It is important that you watch the video very carefully and understand what is being taught. You may choose to play the video again to get a better understanding.

In this video you have seen how one can determine the LOWEST COMMON MULTIPLE. I hope you have understood what is LCM.

However, writing down the common multiples and then choosing the lowest common multiple by this method for two or more numbers is a slightly long method.

Instead we could choose to find out the LCM by the division method. 

For this, it is important that you must know your tables and short division. Remember, I told you this right in the beginning.

 PRACTICE SUMS- do the sums on LCM, given below in your notebook

[These ten sums are just one method to be applied ten times over!!

This will help you to increase speed.
