HCF- 2 - (POST -12 )

GOOD MORNING AND WELCOME BACK

Today we will learn to find the Highest Common Factor by
the Continuous Division Method.

In this method you could find the HCF using fewer steps. This method is faster. It only requires a bit of practice, however.

Have a look at this video.

Did you notice that in the division method, we can find the HCF in just a couple of steps? When we have larger numbers this method is extremely useful.

HCF of 180 and 75 is 15.

                                                                                                      HCF of 40 and 55 is 5.

I suggest that you learn this method because it will help you in your higher classes to do faster calculations.

I am sure that after you practise 5 sums by the division method you will be able to find out the HCF at supersonic speed.

You could also find the HCF of three or more numbers using the same method. Check out this video .

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9aIwqRQSOMs&t=114s

It is the same method to be followed.

Let us do a few sums for practice and get it right.

ASSIGNMENT

  2. -Do the revision worksheet on HCF ,LCM IN YOUR NOTEBOOK. IT HAS BEEN POSTED AS A SEPARATE  BLOG TODAY.
